TurboSource 2.0L Skyactive ND PCV Crank Case Vent System

We have been at the forefront of development on the ND chassis for our BorgWarner EFR ND Turbo Kit. When increasing the power of the 2.0 Skyactive engine its best to make sure that any opportunity is done to reduce the strain/wear/tear on the engine. That is why we have developed the TurboSource 2.0 Skyactive ND PCV Crank Case Vent System to allow the crank case to vent properly while under boost pressure. The OEM crankcase system will NOT work with forced induction, as its designed to work for a naturally aspirated system only. As soon as your intake manifold is under positive pressure, there is no where for the OEM to vent the crankcase pressure. This system works for both turbocharged and supercharged vehicles.

This unit replaces the restrictive OEM PCV setup with a Billet Aluminum Piece that utilizes internal baffles to prevent any oil slosh. Our PCV plate has a much larger vent diameter (1/2") and we provide a T that connects the system to the valve cover vent.( hose between the valve cover, T, and hose between crankcase plate included).

There is an option 1/8 NPT port( supplied with plug) that can also be used for use with the turbosmart oil pressure regulator, or for extreme cases when even more crankcase vent size is required.

There are a few ways to connect the vent portion of this system. You can route the crankcase vents to an external vented catch can( off-road/track use only), or a sealed catch can that is rerouted to the low pressure side of the intake tract. The low pressure side is going to be before the turbo, or pre throttle body on a supercharged system. It cannot connect to any part of the intake tract that sees boost pressure.

The OEM connection on the intake manifold that normally connects to the OEM crankcase vent can be then used for a external BOV, or boost pressure gauge. One will have to plug this port if it is not in use( plug not supplied).  One can also add another T to the system with two additional check valves to the utilize the OEM system under vacuum, but then goto the external system under positive pressure.
